Hey Team
Easter will be here before you know it. Since you help us greet, seat and serve each week...we need your help...
Easter weekend is packed with services.
Saturday evening at 5:00PM (No Coffee Service!)
Sunday SUNRISE at 6:30am ( Coffee Startup 5:30am)
Regular Sunday morning services at 8, 9:30 and 11 am.
We'd love for you to serve in as many time slots as you can! Easter is a huge weekend and in many ways it's larger in attendance than Christmas. We need your smiling face and warm handshake to welcome guests and regular attenders in.
Let us know when you can serve by emailing us at joel@crossland.tv. Simply list the service times you are available to serve. We'll create a master schedule and confirm your service times with you! Thanks for helping make Crossland a refuge and hope for ALL people.

What does Serving Look Like?
Greeters
usually stand at our outside doors or the inside doors leading into worship and in our lobby. Smile, say "Good Morning", shake hands and hug the ones you know, start a conversation and help give directions. If you encounter a family that needs to get a child checked in, help them to the back lobby check-in station on the BG Campus and our volunteers and staff will take it from there. If you are serving in a children's lobby and a new family comes in you can escort them right up to the check-in station.

USHERs
usually stand inside the worship space by either the back door ramp or front doors of the worship space and in the middle of the room in front of the sound booth. Ushers help people find seats. Several ushers move up and down the isles as things fill up to look for empty seats and ask people to scoot in when needed to make room for others. Help direct people to empty seats and pull out extra chairs when needed.

Coffee Baristas
usually serve coffee in the lobby before and sometimes during each service. Baristas mix coffee drinks for guests, sometimes help brew more coffee, stock the coffee bar as supplies run low and cleanup after each service. During final service at 11:00am, baristas help rinse coffee serving pots and clean the coffee bar area.

Golf Cart Drivers
usually serve during the service hour transporting guest families from the main building to the children and student areas in the other buildings. Drivers run a route between the two buildings in a loop. Drivers help us orient the new families to where their children are going, how they check-in, where to pickup and how and then bring them back down to the main building for adult worship.

Volunteer security
usually stay in one of our lobbies to monitor the entering and exiting of children with their parents, look for backpacks going into worship and buildings, keep an eye out in our parking lots and buildings for things outside our ordinary Sunday. If you see something say! Security radios are in each lobby and connect to our paid Security Staff. Use the radio to call for an officer or request medical help. Our volunteer medical team is also available during each service and can respond to injuries or illnesses during each service time.

We will take the time with every volunteer in each position to make sure you feel comfortable carrying out the serving responsibilities. If you ever have any questions or run into a situation, please don't hesitate to ask one of our staff for help or guidance.
